Candidates will introduce themselves at the forum. Audience members attending the forum may pose questions written on cards for the panel. The forums will be broadcast live on local cable, and rerun for later viewing.
“The League of Women Voters hosts public forums to inform voters and the public about important issues and elections impacting our community,” said LVWJC Board President Gaylen Wobeter. “Keeping the public informed is an important part of the League’s ongoing work. We encourage everyone to register to vote and become knowledgeable about candidates and issues in the upcoming elections.”
The League of Women Voters of Johnson County is a nonpartisan political organization founded in 1920, and is dedicated to keeping an informed electorate through advocacy and community events. The LWVJC is a member of the National League of Women Voters, consisting of 50 state Leagues and 803 local chapters, and a member of the League of Women Voters of Iowa.
